Molly is a woman from a small Irish town who has been almost totally blind since the age of one. She lives simply and enjoys every moment of life. Her universe consists of the job she loves, the new husband she adores, Frank and the memories of when she was a little girl and her parents were alive, especially her father whom she idolized. And in this little universe, without much turbulence, Molly goes, for Frank’s sake, to have another check-up, with Mr. Rice, the local doctor. Molly was blind and happy. And Mr. Rice thinks he can restore her sight… a new beginning, a new life, colors, light! A new universe! That is the promise! And after all, if the operation failed… what would Molly have to lose?! Nothing.
